I was first introduced to these cookies on an episode of The Barefoot Contessa. Ina brought Kathleen King on her season 2 episode, Baking Basics. Kathleen owns Tate’s Bake Shop in Southampton, NY. In this episode, she made one of their well-known cookies, Double Chocolate Almond. Once I tried these cookies, I was hooked but I felt the recipe needed a few modifications to make them more “my style”. Here’s what I changed: Read More

Irish Cream Chocolate Fudge Pie
Decadence is an understatement. This is like, a boozy chocolate truffle and a brownie had a baby, and it’s this Irish Cream Chocolate Fudge Pie! Listen, this pie is rich. So you can’t make this pie and then say, “omg it’s rich”. Because, duh. It’s rich. That’s the point 🙂 If you aren’t crazy for chocolate (like in the way that you could always eat it after you are already very full), this one may not be for you. Read More
The BEST EVER Disney Dole Whips Copycat Recipe
You’re welcome, Internet. Here is finally a Dole Whips recipe that seriously tastes identical to Disney theme parks. This doesn’t have “bananas”, “coconut milk”, or “cool whip” like the craziness I keep finding online. Whhhhhyyyy?? Have they not been to Disney World or Disney Land? There are dozens of these recipes on Pinterest and I have yet to find one that uses legit ingredients that will capture the true essence of the Dole Whips.
FYI – There. Are. No. Bananas in the Disney version! GET IT TOGETHER!!

White Chocolate Berry Ice Cream Cookie Pie
Super chewy, pillowy soft, thick sugar cookie crust is the base of this beautiful short-cut dessert, converting store-bought vanilla ice cream to a white chocolate strawberry and blueberry dream. This is the ultimate dessert for the summer.
Forth of July party, picnic, family gathering, whatever the occasion this summer, ice cream pie can always be your answer. It’s so universal and can be made in many ways. It’s always a crowd pleaser and is super easy to make – not requiring any ice cream machine, because you are just elevating store bought ice cream (of course if you want extra credit you can make your own ice cream – I am all about that life).
Chewy Peanut Butter Filled Cookies w/ Salted Chocolate Fudge Frosting
Do you like Tagalong Girl Scout Cookies and Buckeye Peanut Butter Balls? These two worlds may have just collided here and I am really excited to share this recipe with my fellow peanut butter & chocolate lovers.
Baker beware, these cookies are not for the faint of heart. Some may say this is too peanut buttery, too chocolatey, too rich. I say – you can never have enough of either, so I consider that a compliment! Read More
Brownie Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies
I came across an article about Balaboosta’s Bakery in East Norwich, NY and I was immediately fixated on these brownie stuffed chocolate chip cookies they are famous for. They looked ridiculously amazing, better than the ones I have created here. They are the masters of stuffing brownies into cookies.
Now I don’t claim that these will be as perfect, but since I am not hopping on a plane and flying to NY anytime soon, I just had to attempt to create a second-best option! These are outstanding. By far the best cookie I have ever eaten, and I don’t say that lightly. It really merges two of the best desserts into one cookie, and better than “brookies”, because the brownie is on the inside, it stays slightly under-done, creating one phenomenal cookie.
Entenmann’s Devil’s Food Donuts Recipe
“Everyone’s Got A Favorite” Entenmann’s and mine is the Devil’s Food Donuts!
Since this is one of my first posts since I took a three month wedding/honeymoon/moving apartments hiatus from my blog, I figured it was appropriate for my comeback recipe to be recreating a very special memory from my time on my honeymoon with my new husband. A chocolate, store-bought donut. Yes, it’s the little things 🙂 Read More
10 Cute Valentine’s Day Dessert Recipes
Valentines is right around the corner. It’s technically not a very exciting holiday and honestly, it often comes and goes and I rarely even celebrate it. But what I absolutely adore about the Valentine season is just the adorable colors, candy and decor of V-day.I enjoy the trips through the seasonal section at Target where I spend 20 minutes picking up 100 different items and saying OMG THIS IS SOOOO CUTE (but rarely actually buying anything). I guess it’s just a really good eye-candy holiday. But it is super fun to make delicious desserts that are both amazing tasting and also beautiful to look at. So today I’ve decided to compile a few of the Valentine desserts that have caught my eye this season. I’ve also included the recipe links to all of the recipes.
