The Ultimate Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

The Ultimate Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip recipes are a dime a dozen. You get inundated with options online and in cookbooks and since there are several variations, it’s hard to know which one will be the best cookie for you. Looking for a simpler way to still have a perfectly delicious cookie while avoiding having to brown my butter first, I made some alterations to my go-to recipe and created what, to me, is the absolute perfect and EASY chocolate chip cookie. Is this Ultimate Chewy Chocolate Chip cookie for you? Lets see. These cookies are…

  1. Extremely chewy and super thick!
  2. Large bakery-style sized cookies
  3. Perfectly gooey, slightly under-baked centers.
  4. Soft and tender, even better the next day
  5. Super buttery with flecks of finishing salt
  6. Variety of chocolate chunks and chips with varying richness.
  7. No refrigeration needed. You can pull the recipe together in 10 minutes. Freezing the cookie balls before baking is recommended but not at all necessary.

Biscuit Dough Donuts with Peanut Butter & Chocolate Glaze

10 / 9 / 20

Biscuit Dough Donuts with Peanut Butter & Chocolate Glaze

I am excited to share an easy recipe today for these Biscuit Dough Donuts with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Glaze! It’s not often that I make something for my blog that is simple, mainly because I have big ideas and love food so much that I don’t mind spending hours in the kitchen just for one delicious meal. But I know that’s not relatable to all my readers because we aren’t always in the mood to cook nor do we always have the time.

So today, I have a shortcut recipe that uses a fun and easy hack to make one of my favorite “cheat” foods – donuts! You may have made these before but this may also be new to some of you. Today, we are making biscuit dough donuts. Yup, canned Pillsbury buttermilk biscuit dough, fried for a few minutes, and frosted with delicious homemade glazes. As you may suspect, the frostings I decided to go with are peanut butter and chocolate! Read More

Four Layer Peanut Butter Brownie Bars

2 / 15 / 202 / 15 / 20

Peanut Butter Brownie Bars

There aren’t many combinations that go together like peanut butter and chocolate. Well, I could name a few others.. lemon and lime, sour cream and onion, butter and garlic, sea salt and caramel, chocolate and peppermint, french fries and milkshakes. But don’t we all agree that peanut butter and chocolate tops ALL of those? No. French fries and milkshakes might be the best actually. But that’s really another category. That just slipped into the list when I got carried away.

This Four Layer Peanut Butter Brownie recipe is fun because it adds a layer to the traditional peanut butter bars. Well, two layers actually = brownies and ganache. It’s essentially two desserts in one and I ain’t complaining about that! Read More

Cherry, Butterscotch & Chocolate Dipped Cones (Dairy Queen Copycat)

8 / 8 / 188 / 8 / 18

Dipped Cones Dairy Queen Copycat

No, of course I didn’t scour the web trying to find a restaurant supply site that sold ice cream parlor shell dip, then spend $16.49 for each 96 ounce canister (x3 flavors) and add rush shipping to the order for instant gratification…

Yes, it’s true. This did just happen. I think it’s time for my intervention.

But can you blame me? Look at these beauties. Who wants to crunch into one of these right now? Read more for the recipe. Read More

Tart Cherry Almond Chocolate Cookies (Kathleen King Remixed)

Tart Cherry Almond Chocolate Cookies (Kathleen King Remixed)

I was first introduced to these cookies on an episode of The Barefoot Contessa. Ina brought Kathleen King on her season 2 episode, Baking Basics. Kathleen owns Tate’s Bake Shop in Southampton, NY. In this episode, she made one of their well-known cookies, Double Chocolate Almond. Once I tried these cookies, I was hooked but I felt the recipe needed a few modifications to make them more “my style”. Here’s what I changed: Read More

Irish Cream Chocolate Fudge Pie

7 / 27 / 188 / 17 / 20

Irish Cream Chocolate Fudge Pie

Decadence is an understatement. This is like, a boozy chocolate truffle and a brownie had a baby, and it’s this Irish Cream Chocolate Fudge Pie!  Listen, this pie is rich. So you can’t make this pie and then say, “omg it’s rich”. Because, duh. It’s rich. That’s the point 🙂 If you aren’t crazy for chocolate (like in the way that you could always eat it after you are already very full), this one may not be for you.  Read More

Entenmann's Devils Food Cake Recipe

“Everyone’s Got A Favorite” Entenmann’s and mine is the Devil’s Food Donuts!

Since this is one of my first posts since I took a three month wedding/honeymoon/moving apartments hiatus from my blog, I figured it was appropriate for my comeback recipe to be recreating a very special memory from my time on my honeymoon with my new husband. A chocolate, store-bought donut. Yes, it’s the little things 🙂  Read More
