Let’s transform a pack of Hawaiian rolls into a pizza crust. It yields a soft and sweet twist on a classic. This effortless Hawaiian Roll Pizza is brushed with garlic butter and baked until the cheese is bubbly.

Shortcut Homemade Pizza
We all love the fluffy, pillowy soft, and sweet Hawaiian rolls. They are perfect for making Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast and sandwich sliders (like my Alabama White Chicken Sliders and my Chopped Grinder Sandwich), and they are great served alongside a hearty dinner. But have you ever considered transforming them into a thick, golden, ultra-soft pizza crust? The bread’s sweetness becomes the perfect base, and as you press it down, the rolls fuse into one pillowy slab that’s ready to soak up flavor.

Next comes a generous layer of garlic butter that seeps into the bread’s little crevices. Then we add pizza sauce and sprinkle on a heavy snowfall of shredded mozzarella. Finally, we pile on the pepperoni — the kind that gets crispy at the edges and pools with a little savory oil as it crisps in the oven.
As it bakes, the cheese bubbles, the pepperoni crackles, and the edges of the Hawaiian-roll crust turn toasted while staying soft underneath. This pizza is extremely easy to make and loved by both kids and adults, making it a great alternative to traditional pizza.

What You’ll Need
To make this delicious viral pepperoni pizza on Hawaiian rolls, you’ll need these items:
Hawaiian Rolls – a 24-roll pack will make 8 large slices.
Garlic Butter – Use either garlic powder or fresh grated garlic plus butter and dried parsley flakes.
Pizza Sauce – Choose your favorite.
Cheese – mozzarella is always best shredded fresh off the block.
Parmesan – grated or shredded.
How to Make Hawaiian Roll Pizza
Prep the rolls:
Use a large spatula to tamp down the rolls, leaving about 1.5″ inches untouched to make a “crust”.

Build the pizza:
Spread garlic butter all over the pizza, edge to edge, and bake briefly. Tamp down the bread again to redefine the crust. Add pizza sauce all over the flattened portion. Layer with mozzarella and pepperoni. Sprinkle the crust with parmesan and bake.

Bake:
Bake until the cheese is melted and the crust is browned and crisp. If needed, add foil to the crust to prevent burning.
Serve:
Brush the crust again with garlic butter, and sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese. Slice into portions and enjoy.
