Why You’ll Love Jr Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders
Mini & Handheld– everything is better in a small form and these mini Jr. bacon cheeseburger sliders are no exception!
Addictively Delish – I am sure we can debate the best type of burger and while there are many great versions – this is our #1 favorite cheeseburger and people go insane for these.
Fresh & Simple – just beef, bacon, mayo, cheese, tomato and lettuce. It’s fresh and crispy veggies combined with warm cheese and meat. Simple and perfect.
No Brainer – this isn’t one of those complicated recipes where you have to re-read it a few times as you’re cooking. This is intuitive as EASY!
Key Ingredients
Beef: tender 80/20 beef is formed into classic square shapes to mimic Wendy’s burger shape. The thin beef patties are seared on each side for a little bit of a crust on the beef.
Bacon: we are cooking bacon until it’s perfectly crispy!
Cheese: classic American cheese slices are used but of course you can use your favorite cheese.
Slider Buns: pillowy soft slider buns are used. Although I can find just about any use for sweet Hawaiian slider buns, for this recipe I prefer standard slider buns since Wendy’s hamburger buns are not sweet.
Veggies – crisp iceberg lettuce and slices of ripe tomatoes.
Mayo – just mayo on this burger, no ketchup. But of course you can use any of your preferred condiments.
How to Make Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders
In just a few easy steps you can have these JBC sliders on your dinner table or game day spread. Here is how to assemble:
Step 1: Start by cooking bacon in the oven or on the stove until crispy. Set aside and wipe out excess grease from the pan. Spread ground beef into a flattened large square. Cut into 9 equal sized square patties, about 4”x4”.
Step 2: Season the burger patties with salt and pepper. Cook on medium-high in the same skillet, flipping just once, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Step 3: Spread bottom buns with Mayo. Add burger patty, top with cheese and put in the oven on broil for just 2 minutes to melt the cheese. Add lettuce then tomato slices. On the underside of the top buns, spread a thick dollop of mayo and place the top buns on the sliders. Slice and enjoy!
