One bite of the famous Chicken Caesar Wrap from Vinny’s Cafe in Boca Raton, and I knew I had to recreate it at home. My version starts with juicy homemade blackened chicken, crispy bacon, crunchy romaine, homemade Caesar dressing, and buttery garlic croutons, overstuffed in a warm tortilla for a lunch that’s every bit as satisfying as the original.

Behind This Chicken Caesar Wrap

This recipe was inspired by one of my favorite lunches from Vinny’s Cafe in Boca Raton. After ordering their famously huge Chicken Caesar Wrap more times than I can count, I became determined to recreate it at home. I love the creamy dressing, crispy bacon, and perfectly seasoned chicken, but I wanted to take it one step further by using my homemade Blackened Garlic Butter Chicken Tenders and a few little tricks that make every bite even more flavorful. One trick I absolutely love is tossing a few spoonfuls of Caesar dressing directly onto the cooked chicken before chopping it. The chicken absorbs the dressing, making every bite even more flavorful.

And if you’re making these wraps, don’t skip the Garlic Parmesan Fries. Dunking the fries in extra Caesar dressing alongside the wrap might be my favorite part of the entire meal. This is seriously such an incredibly flavorful meal that I’ve coined it my “death row meal”.

Tips From My Kitchen

Coat the chicken first. Tossing the cooked chicken with a few spoonfuls of Caesar dressing before chopping it keeps every piece flavorful and juicy.

Dry the lettuce well. Wet romaine will dilute the dressing and make the wraps soggy. A salad spinner works best.

Crush the croutons. Instead of large chunks, pulse or chop them into coarse crumbs so every bite has buttery garlic flavor and crunch.

Pack the filling. Pressing the Caesar salad into a small bowl before flipping it onto the tortilla creates a compact mound that’s much easier to wrap tightly.

Toast the wrap. Thirty seconds per side in a dry skillet lightly crisps the tortilla and helps seal everything together.

Ingredients You’ll Need & Why

Blackened Chicken Tenders – These are the star of the wrap. My homemade blackened chicken stays juicy and brings bold seasoning that makes this wrap taste restaurant-worthy.

Romaine Lettuce – Romaine provides the crisp, fresh crunch that every Caesar wrap needs while standing up well to the creamy dressing.

Garlic Butter Croutons – Rather than leaving them whole, chopping them into coarse crumbs spreads their buttery garlic flavor throughout every bite.

Bacon – Adds smoky, salty crunch that complements the creamy dressing beautifully.

Freshly Grated Parmigiano-Reggiano – Fresh Parmesan melts into the dressing and adds a rich, nutty flavor you simply can’t get from pre-shredded cheese.

Homemade Caesar Dressing – My anchovy-free dressing is made with mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, fresh garlic, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and Parmesan, this dressing is creamy, bright, and packed with flavor.

How to Make a Chicken Caesar Wrap

This blackened chicken caesar wrap comes together in just a few simple steps and is well worth the extra few minutes to make the homemade dressing. From the juicy blackened chicken to the crispy bacon and buttery garlic croutons, every layer adds incredible flavor to each bite.

Make the Caesar Dressing

Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, lemon juice, Parmesan, salt, and pepper in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate while preparing the remaining ingredients.

Cook the Chicken

Prepare my Blackened Garlic Butter Chicken Tenders according to the recipe instructions (linked in the recipe card below).

Add a few spoonfuls of Caesar dressing to the cooked chicken before chopping it into bite-sized pieces. Toss to coat.

Prepare the Salad

Chop the romaine lettuce and dry it thoroughly.

Finely chop the garlic butter croutons until they’re mostly coarse crumbs with a few small crunchy pieces remaining.

Add the lettuce, bacon, Parmesan, green onions (if using), and chopped croutons to a large mixing bowl.

Add the dressed chicken. Drizzle in enough Caesar dressing to coat everything evenly before gently tossing.

caesar wrap ingredients in a bowl

Assemble the Wraps

Lay a tortilla flat on your work surface.

Fill a small bowl that’s about 2 inches smaller than the tortilla with half of the Caesar mixture, pressing it down firmly.

Quickly invert the bowl onto the upper center of the tortilla so the filling stays tightly packed.

Fold both sides of the tortilla inward until they nearly meet in the center.

Keeping gentle pressure on the filling, begin rolling the tortilla tightly away from you. As small pieces fall out, use your fingers to tuck them back into the wrap while continuing to compress and roll.

Once fully rolled, immediately wrap tightly in parchment paper to help it hold its shape.

Slice in half and serve with extra Caesar dressing.

Optional Toasting

Heat a dry skillet over medium-low heat.

Toast each wrap for about 30 seconds per side until lightly golden and warmed through.

Garlic Parmesan Fries

These fries are the perfect side dish for these wraps.

While the wraps come together, cook your favorite frozen French fries until they’re deeply golden and crispy.

As the fries cook, melt butter with plenty of fresh garlic just until the garlic becomes fragrant. Once the fries are hot from the oven or air fryer, immediately transfer them to a large bowl and drizzle the garlic butter all over.

Sprinkle generously with freshly grated Parmesan and dried parsley, then toss everything together until every fry is coated in the buttery, cheesy mixture.

Serve the fries alongside the wraps with a small bowl of extra Caesar dressing for dipping. Between the crispy fries, garlicky Parmesan coating, and cool, creamy dressing, it’s the perfect sidekick to this Chicken Caesar Wrap.

How to Serve & Store Leftovers

These chicken Caesar wraps are best enjoyed immediately while the lettuce is crisp and the tortilla is warm. Serve them with Garlic Parmesan Fries and extra Caesar dressing for dipping to create the ultimate restaurant-style meal at home.

If you’re meal prepping, store the Caesar salad mixture separately from the tortillas and assemble just before serving to keep everything fresh. I’d also avoid chopping the lettuce until ready to prepare, as once it’s sliced, it can wilt much quicker.

Leftover dressing can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Ingredients

Chicken Caesar Wrap

  • Blackened Garlic Butter Chicken Tenders
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce, chopped and dried well
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup garlic butter croutons, finely chopped into coarse crumbs
  • 2 10-inch flour tortillas

Homemade Caesar Dressing

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Garlic Parmesan Fries

  • 14 oz bag frozen french fries
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced (about 1.5 tbsp)
  • cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley

Instructions

Make the Caesar Dressing

  • Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, lemon juice, Parmesan, salt, and pepper to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Prepare the Chicken

  • Cook the Blackened Garlic Butter Chicken Tenders according to the recipe instructions.
  • Place the cooked chicken onto a cutting board and drizzle with a few spoonfuls of the Caesar dressing. Chop into bite-sized pieces (the dressing will work into the chicken as you chop..)

Build the Caesar Salad

  • Add the chopped romaine to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the chopped bacon, Parmesan cheese, and finely chopped garlic butter croutons.
  • Add the dressed chicken.
  • Drizzle with Caesar dressing and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.

Assemble the Wraps

  • Lay one tortilla flat.
  • Fill a small bowl (about 2 inches smaller than the tortilla) with half of the Caesar mixture, pressing it down firmly.
  • Quickly invert the bowl onto the upper center of the tortilla, creating a tightly packed mound.
  • Fold the left and right sides of the tortilla toward the center until they nearly meet.
  • Begin rolling tightly away from you while gently compressing the filling. If a little salad escapes, use your fingers to tuck it back inside as you continue rolling.
  • Wrap tightly in parchment paper to help hold its shape.
  • Repeat with the second wrap.
  • Slice in half and serve with extra Caesar dressing.
  • Optional Toasting – Heat a dry skillet over medium-low heat. Toast each wrap seam-side down for about 1-2 minutes per side until lightly golden.

Garlic Parmesan Fries

  • Cook the frozen French fries according to the package directions until golden brown and crispy.
  • Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook just until fragrant.
  • Transfer the hot fries to a large bowl.
  • Pour the garlic butter over the fries. Add the Parmesan and parsley.
  • Toss until evenly coated.
  • Serve immediately with extra Caesar dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • Dress the chicken separately first. Tossing a few spoonfuls of Caesar dressing with the cooked chicken before chopping it ensures every bite is packed with flavor.
  • Dry the romaine thoroughly. Excess moisture will water down the dressing and make the wraps soggy.
  • Chop the croutons. Breaking them into coarse crumbs distributes their buttery garlic crunch throughout the wrap instead of leaving large hard chunks.
  • Pack the filling. Using a small bowl to compress the Caesar salad makes rolling the wraps much easier and helps them stay together.
  • Toast the wraps for extra texture. A quick toast in a dry skillet adds a light crispness and helps seal the tortilla.
  • Don’t skip the fries. The Garlic Parmesan Fries dipped in extra Caesar dressing turn this into a restaurant-worthy meal.
