Snickers apple salad is a sweet and tangy dessert with juicy pops of apple and a creamy coating. This is a healthier version with Greek yogurt and just a few simple ingredients (no candy bars in this recipe). Thinly sliced apples, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and caramel sauce are combined with peanuts and chocolate chips to create a delicious, healthy-ish treat that can be enjoyed year-round, especially during the fall.

Everyone Loves It!
Unlike the typical Snickers salad, which features chunks of candy bars in a cool whip and vanilla pudding base, this recipe is simple and lighter, yet still delivers the full Snickers effect. We use Greek yogurt, which provides a creamy tanginess that gets sweetened up with the caramel sauce.
The addition of peanut butter further enhances the creaminess and decadence. And it’s finished off with chopped peanuts to offer a salty crunch and the chocolate chips for just the right amount of chocolate.
Kids and adults alike adore this salad!
Key Ingredients
This creamy dessert salad doesn’t get much easier. Here is the short list of ingredients you need (be sure to check out my recipe card below for measurements).
Apples – I prefer a combination of Granny Smith and Honey Crisp, or Pink Lady.
Greek yogurt – A creamy base for this salad without being overly indulgent. (Whipped cream cheese works too if you prefer a heavier option).
Peanut butter – You can use natural peanut butter or emulsified peanut butter like Jif; either works great.
Caramel sauce – Use a high-quality caramel sauce that isn’t runny, such as Smucker’s Simple Delight Salted Caramel.
Peanuts – Salted peanuts get chopped up and mixed in.
Chocolate chips – Milk, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate, whichever you prefer.
How to Make Snickers Apple Salad
The recipe for this snicker salad is so simple and easy that it almost doesn’t need a recipe. We are just tossing everything in a bowl. Here’s how to make it:
- In a large bowl, add the thinly sliced apples. Top it with the Greek yogurt, melted peanut butter, and caramel sauce.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts over the top.
- Mix everything with a spatula until the apples are well-coated. Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Variations and Tips
This easy Snickers apple salad is perfect as-is, but if you’re looking to change it up check out some of my recommendations below:
- You can dice the apples into chunks instead of thinly slicing them if you prefer. Some people find it easier to eat them when they are in small pieces rather than long slices.
- If you want a bit more indulgence, swap out the Greek yogurt for whipped cream cheese.
- Prefer pecans instead of peanuts? They work really well and give more of a pecan pie vibe.
- This snickers salad is just as delicious with green or purple grapes!
- Peanut butter lovers can add peanut butter chips instead of chocolate chips, or a combination of both.
How to Store Snickers Apple Salad
This Snickers Apple Salad holds up really well in the fridge. Store it in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Just be sure to give it a good stir each time you serve it.
