Snickers apple salad is a sweet and tangy dessert with juicy pops of apple and a creamy coating. This is a healthier version with Greek yogurt and just a few simple ingredients (no candy bars in this recipe). Thinly sliced apples, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and caramel sauce are combined with peanuts and chocolate chips to create a delicious, healthy-ish treat that can be enjoyed year-round, especially during the fall.
2apples, thinly slicedI prefer one tangy and one sweeter apple like Granny Smith and Honeycrisp
1/2cupGreek yogurt
1/4cuppeanut butter*melted for 20-30 seconds so it pours easily
1/4cup caramel sauce*
1/4cupchocolate chips*
1/4cupchopped peanuts
Instructions
In a large bowl, add the thinly sliced apples. Top it with the Greek yogurt, melted peanut butter, and caramel sauce.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips and chopped peanuts over the top.
Mix everything with a spatula until the apples are well-coated. Enjoy immediately or store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Notes
Use either natural peanut butter or emulsified peanut butter such as Jif.Select a caramel sauce that's thick and not runny, as it will make the salad runny and drippy. You can use whichever type of chocolate chips you prefer milk, semi-sweet, or dark chocolate. I adore these low-sugar chocolate chips for healthier no-bake recipes.
