Sweet Martha’s Cookie Jar Cookies Copycat Recipe

Sweet Martha's Cookie Jar Copycat Recipe

Let’s have a moment of silence for the fact that I made these cookies just because of a viral video I watched about Sweet Martha’s Cookie Jar at the Minnesota State Fair….. Shouldn’t I be ashamed? Has anyone else seen this video and felt that, short of taking a trip to Minnesota, making these became a #1 priority? Is it because anything in a bite sized form is just better? Or is it because cookies served up in a bucket just seems to overwhelm me with happiness? Read More

Sweet and Sour Balsamic Fig Chicken Breast

Sweet and Sour Fig Balsamic Chicken Breast

This was such an easy and cheap recipe but tastes and presents amazingly. A coworker of mine did a two week trial of Hello Fresh, and even though I sort of have a bit of an issue with the concept, this recipe he explained to me sounded amazing! Read More

Pumpkin Pie Low Carb High Protein Pancakes

10 / 9 / 1710 / 9 / 17

Pumpkin Pie Low Carb High Protein Pancakes

I took a risk making these yesterday. My fiance is not huge fan of fancy flavors and is a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to pancakes. Blueberry, lemon, plain.. that’s about the extent of it. Since I plan and cook our meals for the week each Sunday, I didn’t want to allow him the opportunity to burst my bubble and say “pumpkin pie pancakes sound too sweet, can you just make blueberry”. So like most things, I didn’t tell him and did it anyways, naturally. Read More

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Brownies

10 / 7 / 1710 / 10 / 17

Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Brownies

Dark chocolate effing decadence. Period. These are as dark chocolate as you can get, while still being sweet and not too bitter. Espresso brings out the chocolate flavor even more and just knocks you right in the face. Then finishes with a salty kick that makes your cheeks pucker! Read More

{Light} Savory & Sweet Cauliflower Corn Chowder with Chicken

10 / 5 / 1710 / 5 / 17

Cauliflower Corn Chowder

My first soup of the season!

Corn anything is my absolute favorite. Creamed corn, sweet corn casserole, cornbread, etc. etc. etc. It’s something about the natural sweetness that is so phenom to me. I was trying to order some mexican takeout yesterday at this new place down the street. On the menu was corn chowder – something I absolutely die for but rarely think to make for myself. Read More

High Protein 4-Ingredient Egg Casserole

10 / 4 / 1710 / 10 / 17

4 Ingredient Breakfast Casserole

Fluffy, hearty and simple! These are a great go-to for make ahead meals. I usually cook on Sundays for the week and when I am short on a time (like this week, with my work conference in full swing) breakfast casseroles are the seriously the best way to go! We usually add sriracha or different types of salsa to change it up and keep it from getting boring after a few days in a row (tomatillo, pico de gallo, etc). Read More

Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pies w/ Bourbon Cream

9 / 29 / 179 / 29 / 17

Pumpkin Spice Whoopie Pies with Bourbon Cream

These cookies are what the holidays are made for. Soft pumpkin pillowy dreams that just melt in your mouth and the bourbon just warms your body! Fall is in the air and I have been craving some delicious pumpkin recipes to officially kick off the best season of the year. There aren’t many things that are better than this holiday season… being cozy indoors, excusably wearing comfortable clothes that hide all the flaws, being with family, more time off from work… from now until new years, it’s nothing but joy! Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip {Edible} Cookie Dough

9 / 26 / 177 / 23 / 18

Edible Cookie Dough

Who doesn’t need a way to legitimately eat cookie dough and not wonder in the back of your mind if you are going to fall deathly ill?

I actually created this recipe so that I could make cookie dough and brownie homemade ice cream. There never seems to be enough cookie dough pieces in pints of ice cream you find at the store. To make things even more interesting, I also like to add peanut butter and sometimes Nutella to the mix. Read More

Clean & Healthy Chunky Chicken Salad

9 / 24 / 179 / 24 / 17

Clean & Healthy Chunky Chicken Salad

I am really happy to finally post this chicken salad recipe. Chicken salad has so many versions, it really comes down to your preference. What’s common here in the south is chicken salad that is more “mushy” sort of like tunafish. Me no likey that. So this is a chunky version with cubed chicken breasts in a healthy Greek yogurt base with tons of dill – one of the best herbs of all times ever. Read More

Whiskey Chocolate French Silk Pie filled Cupcake

9 / 23 / 179 / 23 / 17

Whiskey Chocolate French Silk Pie Cupcake

My first cupcake challenge! I was asked by one of my coworkers to make his favorite Bakers Square, French Silk Pie into a cupcake form. My response to that,  was naturally, how bout I just make you  a French Silk Pie instead? Pie is pie, cupcakes are cupcakes… two different names for a reason. He said no, I want this pie to be a cupcake. Ha! Well, against my better judgement, I created a French Silk Pie cupcake. And really, this experience taught me that any pie can be turned into a cupcake… so welcome to a new world of possibilities!! More pie-cupcakes coming soon, thanks to Tony as his creative brain! I am creative by nature and believe that life is better homemade. I love baking, cooking and developing recipes that I can share with the world.

You’ll never find me baking a normal chocolate chip cookie. Instead, my blog is filled with creations you never knew you were craving. Every pan that comes out of my oven is filled with something unique because, in my kitchen, there’s no room for regular! Whether I’m stuffing cookies with brownie batter or creating copycat recipes of my restaurant favorites, I’m taking risks and making twists.
