It’s officially spooky season, and as you know, Alani Nu’s Witches Brew is a Halloween-themed drink we all look forward to (if we can get our hands on it). But it’s hard to find this new fall staple as it sells out in most stores before you can get a chance to grab some. With this recipe, you can make it at home, and I can honestly say it is way better than the canned version.

Behind the Recipe

If you are lucky enough to stock up on this popular energy drink, you can use this recipe to amp up the flavor! We add cream, caramel sauce, and flavored syrups. Then top it with whipped cream and another drizzle of caramel.

You can use Sprite or club soda instead and enjoy this delicious caramel apple witches brew beverage all season long at your leisure with this dupe recipe. Either way, this is one of those drinks that you will look forward to all year (goodbye PSL!).

What does Alani Witches Brew Taste Like?

Think, Harry Potter butterbeer meets tart green apple. That’s the best way to describe this delicious fall beverage. It’s salted caramel, candy apple flavor with a touch of creaminess and foamy carbonation.

Grab These Ingredients

Most of the Alani witches brew ingredients can be found at the store, except the green apple syrup. This one will most likely need to be purchased online ahead of time if specialty retailers like World Market don’t carry it in stock near you.

Carbonated drink – I recommend club soda for a lighter sweetness, Sprite, or Alani Nu Witches Brew.

Green apple syrup – I like the Torani syrup found here.

Salted caramel syrup – of course, you could use regular caramel syrup, but salted caramel has a more pronounced butterscotch flavor. Most major grocers carry this.

Caramel sauce – any drizzling caramel sauce will do. This one makes it easy to decorate the sides of the cup and the whipped cream.

Half and half – just a splash to add a slight creaminess.

Whipped cream – I find canned whipped cream most convenient

Mal’s Helpful Tips

I’ve tested these Alani Nu witches brew concoctions a dozen different ways. Rest assured, this recipe is absolutely delicious, no matter which version you make.

Club soda is best for lighter sweetness. For my family, this was their favorite when I gave these a taste test. It allows the caramel apple to shine in a crisper, more refreshing way. Choose a highly carbonated version such as Schwepps.

No, the carbonation will not go flat. Many people ask if mixing a carbonated drink with syrups and half-and-half will cause it to lose carbonation. Much like an Italian soda, this drink will hold up and stay bubbly.

You can make it boozy. Add vodka or caramel vodka for an adult beverage.

Perfect for a Halloween gathering – whether it’s a ghouls night, or a Halloween pre-game, serving these to guests will always be a hit.

How to Make Alani Witches Brew

Start by decorating the inside of a glass with swirls of caramel drizzle. Fill 2/3 of the glass with ice cubes.

Add the green apple syrup and salted caramel syrup.

Pour in your carbonated beverage, leaving a 1-inch space at the top of the glass.

Add a splash of half-and-half (or a few splashes if you prefer a creamier drink). Use a long spoon to mix.

Top with whipping cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Where to Find the Syrups?

The salted caramel syrup and caramel drizzle can usually be found at most supermarkets in the coffee and tea aisle.

The green apple syrup is less common and therefore isn’t carried at most stores. I opted to grab it on Amazon here so I could get it quickly.
