Total Time5 minutes mins
Servings: 1 mug cake
- 7 Oreo cookies broken into pieces
- ⅓ cup milk
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- pinch of salt optional
Optional Toppings
- Vanilla ice cream
- Crushed Oreo cookies
- 1 whole Oreo for the center
Add the Oreo cookie chunks to a large microwave-safe mug.
Pour the milk over the cookies, making sure they're evenly moistened. Let sit for 1 minute to soften.
Mash the Oreos with a fork until they form a thick batter. Small cookie pieces are perfectly fine.
Stir in the baking powder and optional pinch of salt until evenly combined.
If desired, place one whole Oreo on top of the batter and gently press it halfway into the center.
Microwave for 90 seconds for a fully set cake or 60 seconds for a softer, gooier center.
Top with vanilla ice cream and crushed Oreo cookies. Serve immediately.
Use a large mug
The batter will puff slightly while cooking, so leave some room at the top.
Microwave wattages vary
Start with 60 seconds and add additional time if needed.
No raw batter concerns
Because the batter is made from Oreo cookies and milk rather than eggs and flour, it's perfectly safe to enjoy with a softer center.
Best served immediately
Like most mug cakes, this recipe has the best texture while still warm.
