Ham and Cheese Pizza Rolls

Prepared with an easy store-bought pizza dough, these Ham and Cheese Pizza Rolls are a great way to enjoy all of the flavors of a ham and cheese sandwich but in easy to eat, bite-sized pieces smothered in a dijon-butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 (13.8 oz) tube Pillsbury pizza crust 13.8 oz
  • 12 slices black forest ham
  • 14-15 slices cheese Swiss, cheddar or a combination of both

Butter Topping

  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 2 tsp dried parsley flakes
  • non-stick cooking spray or extra butter for greasing casserole dish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Grease a casserole dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  • Prepare the butter sauce by combining 1 stick softened butter with all remaining butter topping ingredients except parsley flakes. Mix well until smooth and microwave until it’s soft enough to be easily spread but not fully melted. Stir in the parsley flakes.
  • Roll out the pre-made pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to slightly flatten to a rectangle. Spread on the the buttery dijon sauce in an even layer from edge to edge.
  • Lay the cheese slices on covering every inch of the dough. You may need to cut some pieces down to fit. Top the cheese with slices of ham, slightly overlapping them.
  • Starting at the bottom of the long end, carefully roll up the dough taught. Slice into 2″ pieces just like you’re assembling and slicing cinnamon rolls. Place them into a buttered 9×13 casserole dish.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until browned and bubbly. Spread the tops with the leftover butter sauce and serve warm.
