Course: Drinks
Cuisine: American
Servings: 2 dessert cocktails

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons chocolate sauce, divided like Ghirardelli or similar
  • 2 shots (3 ounces) vodka
  • 2 shots (3 ounces) Irish cream like Bailey's or Five Farms
  • 1 shot (1.5 ounces) Kahlua
  • 2 cups ice
  • 6 scoops vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  • Since we are making frozen drinks, I like to have everything out ready to go so that when it's time to serve, the drinks don't melt.
  • Start by adding one tablespoon chocolate syrup into the bottom of the glasses. Use a frother, dip into the chocolate syrup, and pulse it as you move up the glass to create chocolate lines about 1" apart. Place the glasses in the freezer while prepping the mudslides.
  • Into a blender, add the chocolate syrup, vodka, Kahlua, and Baileys. Add in two cups of ice and the vanilla ice cream. Blend until smooth and creamy. Divide between two tall glasses, add whipped cream, and top with a cherry and chocolate shavings. Serve immediately.

Notes

If you and your guests prefer stronger drinks, I do a heavy-handed pour on my shots, allow them to overflow as you pour.
